How to handle “Invalid Click” warning notification from Google Adsense

Google Adsense users are increasing second by second globally because it is quite tempting program to make more money online with complete freedom of work. A lot of newbies tend to involve in invalid click activities at the expense of “Forever Ban” from Google Adsense where as a lot of genuine publishers get clickbombed by some other individual or groups just because of jealousy or some personal grudge and face difficult situation when big G treats them the same way.

Here we are not talking about the “Culprits” the one who involved in deliberate Click Fraud or invalid click activity but we are talking about helping those genuine publishers who face problems due to any other reason.

Here is the actual email from Google Adsense which some genuine publisher sent me via email: -

Hello,
It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on
your Google ads, posing a financial risk to our AdWords advertisers.
Please note that any activity that may artificially inflate an
advertiser’s costs or a publisher’s earnings is strictly prohibited by our
program policies.

We understand that you may want more information about the activity we
detected. However, because we have a need to protect our proprietary
detection systems, we’re unable to provide our publishers with any details
about their account activity, including any web pages or users that may
have been involved. Thank you for your understanding.
We recommend reviewing these references to learn more about invalid click
activity and other activities that could endanger your account standing:

http://www.google.com/adsense/policies
http://www.google.com/adsense/terms
http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/topic.py?topic=8426

Please note that because we credit advertisers for any invalid activity we
detect, we may adjust your account earnings for any days during which
invalid clicks occurred.

If you were clicking your ads out of interest or to see who was
advertising on your site, please note that clicking on your own ads for
any reason is strictly prohibited by our program policies. Instead, we
suggest using the AdSense preview tool as an alternative. This tool will
allow you to check the destination of ads on your page without the risk of
generating invalid clicks. For more information, please visit our Help
Center at https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/topic.py?topic=160.
Lastly, please note that if we continue to detect invalid clicks on your
Google ads, we may take further action on your account in order to protect
our advertisers’ interests. Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
The Google AdSense Team

The above email is just the first warning which means Google Adsense will ban the publisher if they found any suspicious activities on their adsense account.
If you get the above email, what should you do?

A. Ignore this email from Google and keep working the same way that you were doing.

OR

B. Take this email seriously and reply to Google Adsense professionally.
Well! If you choose option A then Google might think that you are a non-serious just another publisher and Google might ban you forever if they found anything against you, next time.

Option B is much better because a professional reply to Google will make them think that you are a serious publishers and there must be some genuine issue other than Click Fraud with your account.

Here is a template reply to above email which you can modify according to your situation, please do not simply copy paste and email. Try to use facts and figures if you are using google Analytics and other tools with this email.

Dear Adsense Support,
First, thank you very much for allowing me to participate in Google AdSense program. It allowed me to see the features that AdSense provides and the convenience it is for publishers to monetize their sites.
I am emailing you in response to a notification email I received dated ________ regarding some “invalid click activity” on my AdSense account.
I would like to make some points clear.

1. I am not aware that invalid clicks has been made on AdSense ads that were put on my site ______________.

2. I have never personally clicked on any of the AdSense ads that were put on my site, and I am perfectly aware of the terms as agreed upon prior to completing my application with AdSense.

3. I am using a shared computer with the rest of my family who are also internet users thus might explain sharing the same IP address with them.

4. I have not campaigned or asked anybody to click on any of the ads that were placed on my site. If you can notice on the ad demographics on my account, the clicks were very few and far between.

5. I did not even participate or click on ads from other AdSense Publishers.

I believe that despite me being new to the AdSense service, I have been honest to this profession. I have expected Google AdSense to be a great service and I have done my very best to adhere to the agreements and rules set upon by Google for the said service.
This is my first try to monetize my own site despite the years it has been up and I had put my trust on Google’s AdSense service to be able to provide the monetizing service that I could look up to.

Surely this might be negligible, considering that the ad revenue from the ads at my site only earned _____ cents in a span of almost _______. However, even that is proof that my site did

not engage in unscrupulous “invalid click activity”.
The email I received from Google regarding my AdSense account involved in invalid click activity might also led me to believe that my AdSense account will have no chance of being restored if you ban my account forever if some one (competitor) deliberately wants to through me out of his competition by click bombing on my site.

I am sure that Google Adsense understands this situation and treats that “Invalid Click Activity” as a conspiracy to my legitimate business and I am very confident that my account should be cleared from such false claims.

Sincerely,

Hope it helps!

4 Basic Lessons to Learn Forex Trading in Pakistan

I am sharing these four basic lessons which you need to learn in order to understand Online Forex Trading : -

Lesson 1 – Knowing The Forex

1) What is Forex?

Forex stands for FOReign EXchange. The Forex market has very high liquidity and involves transaction of $2 trillions a day. Prior to 1998, the Forex market was a game for large financial firms, trading companies and banks. Since 1998, the Forex market is opened to everyone. And now, everyone can involve in the Forex through numerous brokers with a low capital. Some brokers provide a mini account for as little as $250 deposit. In Forex, people trade different types of currencies.

2) How does Forex work?

The Forex plays a major role in the world economy and is a major indicator of the economic strength of a country. All tradings in the world, both export and import, involve Forex. For instance, trading between Singapore and United States will involve Singapore Dollar (SGD) and US Dollar (USD).

3) What are the advantages of trading in Forex?

There are many advantages. For instance, the Forex market runs for 24 hours. So, you can trade anytime you want. Besides, trading Forex generally has lower risk as compared to other investments such as stock.

4) How to trade currencies?

You can start trading through different online Forex brokers. The brokers provide either online Java real-time Forex platform and some require you to download the Forex platform. You can start trading currencies in through the platform.

Lesson 2 – Jargons used in Forex

Major currencies – the 8 most frequently traded currencies (SD, EUR, JPY, GBP, CHF, CAD, NZD and AUD)

Minor currencies – other currencies

Base currency – the first currency in any currency pair. For example, EUR/USD rate, EUR is the quote currency.

Quote/counter currency – the second currency in any currency pair. For example, EUR/USD, USD is the quote currency.

Long(buy), going long – buy (buy the base currency and sell the quote currency)

Short(sell), going short – sell (sell the base currency and buy the quote currency)

Bid – the price the dealer is willing to buy the base currency in exchange of the quote currency

Ask – the price the dealer is willing to sell the base currency in exchange of the quote currency

Spread - the difference between bid and ask (can be regarded as the fee charged by the broker for the transaction)

Pips – the smallest decimal place in the currency. For instance, if EUR/USD is 1.5633, 1 pip means 0.0001. All currencies are measured in pips in Forex.

Lot – it is a unit in Forex trading. The size of a lot varies from $10,000 to $100,000
leverage - regard this as multiplication. For instance, if a broker provides 100x leverage, when you invest $1000, you are actually trading in $100,000 volume. This is the wonder of Forex market, in which you can earn a lot with little money (due to leverage), but at the same time, lose a lot because of high leverage.

Margin call – if the money in your account falls below a level, your broker will make a margin call and sell all your positions at a loss. To prevent this from happenning, you should have a loss limit or only invest 10-20% of your account balance.

Market order – place a buy/sell order at market price

Limit order – buy/sell at a particular price. Will automatically help you buy/sell when the market price reaches that price.

Stop-loss order – a function that allows you to set the limit of loss. If the market prices go against you over the limit, it will automatically cancel your positions.
Many lingos and jargons huh? Please do not worry and get discouraged because you will get use to it when you start trading.

Lesson 3 – Reading The Chart

There are 3 types of chart – line, bar and candlestick. In a Forex platform you will be able to view the chart in tick, 1 minute, 5minutes… daily, weekly and monthly.
In the tick mode, you can only view a line chart. In tick mode, the lines will move in real time. There will be 2 lines in the chart – bid and ask. The upper line is the bid line and the lower line is the ask line. The gap between the bid and ask line is the spread (consider this as the fee charged by the broker).

In other mode, you will be able to read the chart in bar and candlestick mode.
A bar chart is also called OHLC, (open, high, low and close). When
you zoom into the bar chart, you will different units formed by 2 horizontal lines and 1 vertical line.

Open: The little horizontal line on the left is the opening price

High: The top of the vertical line defines the highest price of the time period

Low: The bottom of the vertical line defines the lowest price of the time period

Close: The little horizontal line on the right is the closing price

A candlestick chart conveys the same information as bar chart, but it has nicer graphic. There are 2 types of candlestick, green and red colors.

Green color – the price closed higher than it opened

Red color – price closed lower than it opened

Types of analysis :

There are 2 types of analysis, mainly Fundamental and Technical.
Fundamental analysis surrounds in the ideology that we should understand the market through economics, social and political perspective, thus making a decision to invest in a prospective currency to yield maximum benefit in the long run.
Technical analysis suggests us to look at both short term and long term chart to find out a particular trend. The trend generally will hold for a period of time and will be unlikely to change in a huge volume even with the influence of sudden news. TREND is very important for both short term and long term investment. Now, you should try to see the daily, weekly and monthly bar/candle stick chart for different currencies, you should be able to observe certain obvious trend like gradual increment, or gradual decrement.
Whilst Forex analysis is much more than the 2 types above, these 2 types of analysis are very important and should be practiced everyday.

Lesson 4- Reading Candlestick

Reading candlestick will allow you to understand the strength of buyer (bull) and seller (bear) in the market. We regard the middle green & red color as body and the line sticking out as shadow.
Body
Long green candlesticks show strong bidding pressure. The longer the green candlestick, the further the close is above the open. This indicates that prices increased considerably from open to close and buyers were aggressive.
Long red candlesticks show strong selling pressure. The longer the red candlestick, the further the close is below the open. This indicates that prices fell a great deal from the open and sellers were aggressive.
Shadow
If a candlestick has a long upper shadow and short lower shadow, this means that buyers are aggressive and bid very high, but for some reason, sellers came in and drove prices back down to end the session back near its open price.
If a candlestick has a long lower shadow and short upper shadow, this means that sellers are aggressive and ask very low, but for one reason or another, buyers came in and drove prices back up to end the session back near its open price.
By looking at the body and the shadow, we should somehow perceive the current market trend. And from different bodies and shadows, the traders have derived some common signals such as spinning tops, doji, shooting star etc.

Google Blogger adds Amazon Associates as Integrated Monetizing Option

Blogger is the most widely used blog network in the world because it provides the easiest blogging platform with integrated adsense monetizing option. It is even got better when they recently added Amazon Associates as another integrated monetizing option along with several other improvements in their content management interface.

It is certainly a very good news for all users of blogger.com because now they can easily add another income stream of Amazon Associate by advertising Amazon’s affiliated products at their blogs and making handsome commissions on sales.

I had applied for Amazon Associates affiliate program and I got the approval too. But, honestly speaking I was finding it difficult to select relevant product to display on my different blog which was quite time consuming and I just forget to add it while I was writing a blog post. I have just checked it right now I found no trouble whatsoever in integrating my Amazon Associate ID and finding a relevant products on couple of my blogs. Infact, I’ve searched the relevant product while I was writing and added into my blog post easily (added the Amazon’s product link to this blog as well .

Blogger has been working to improve monetizing option by adding a “Monetize” tab in the Blogger content management system followed by AdSense for Feeds in order to help their users generate revenue from the distribution of blog via RSS and Atom.
The third edition is the direct integration with Amazon Associates to search Amazon’s product catalog and add links to products that earn you commissions when your readers buy products you recommend.

With this feature, you can search Amazon directly from the Blogger editor and add pictures and links to Amazon products right into your posts. Your readers will earn you commissions whenever they buy the products you recommend, and if you don’t already have an Amazon Associates account, you can sign up for one for free without leaving Blogger.

If you’ve ever written a blog post about a book, recommended a gadget, or reviewed a toy you bought for your kids, you’ve likely gone through the process of drafting the post, opening up a separate window to go to find a site that sells the product, then going back to Blogger to paste the link to the product into the post editor.

Starting today, you can search the Amazon product catalog without leaving the Blogger interface and insert links to the products you find into your posts. Not only is the process of linking to products more efficient, but Amazon makes it easy for you to earn money whenever your readers actually buy the products you write about. This is known as an “affiliate program”, and it’s designed to let you recommend products you like to your audience — if they buy the product, you’ll earn a commission on that purchase.

To get started, click on the Monetize tab for your blog and click “Amazon Associates”. Walk through the setup wizard, and add the Product Finder once you’re done.

Now for the fun part: when you are writing a post on Blogger, you’ll see an Amazon gadget to the right of your post editor (the “Product Finder”). You can search the Amazon product catalog from within Blogger — type in the name of the product you are writing about, and insert a link to the product, an image of the product, or an iframe containing the image, price details and a “buy it now” button. Every link that’s created contains your unique Associates ID, ensuring that Amazon will credit you for any purchases that result from readers clicking the link on your blog.

If you’re an existing Amazon Associate, completing this setup simply makes the Product Finder available on Blogger for you — you continue to earn the same referral rate from Amazon. New Associates receive the same referral rate from Amazon that they would have received if they signed up directly. If you’re not interested in earning a referral, you can still install the Product Finder: from the “Amazon Associates” page under the Monetize tab, click “I’ll do this later — show me more Amazon options” and then click “Add the Product Finder” button.

A quick note about trust: affiliate programs work well when readers trust you. You should avoid promoting products simply because of the referral fee you might earn — readers may lose some of that trust if they sense your posts exist solely to make you money. You may also want to disclose to your readers that you will earn a commission on their purchase — some readers even prefer knowing that you benefit from their business.

There’s more information about this integration at Amazon.com, and the Amazon Associates blog has some more details. This integration is the result of months of collaboration between the engineers at both companies, and we’re very excited to share the results of this collaboration with you.

I am very much sure for those bloggers who want to make money from a Blogger blog this news is great because the shopping season is on and it can help you monetize your blog to its full potential.

It’s also an interesting news that two online giants – Google and Amazon – are teaming up to empower bloggers with more money making options. Like this one

Infolinks + Adsense: A profitable combination for your website or blog

It is a very common saying that “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket” and so is true for choosing online advertising networks. Every webmaster should try to maximize its online revenue either by adding new source to it or increase the income of existing source. Most of webmasters or bloggers use Google Adsense as their primary source of income besides affiliate revenue if any.

I was searching for some better ad network for my blogs which I can use along with Google adsense without affecting the adsense CTR and income, and I found one in the shape of Infolinks. I have been using Infolinks Ads in my blog for more than two weeks now. I must say it was a wise decision to join Infolinks ad network. I used some other networks as well like adbrite, bidvertiser etc but neither of them worked better than Infolinks.

I’ve been planning this Infolinks review eversince I joined but I was waiting to see the results. Although two weeks are not enough time to measure the actual results but so far I’ve been very satisfied with Infolinks and this review will hopefully help more bloggers and webmasters decide whether this advertising program is suitable for your online business or not.
The best part about Infolinks is that they don’t have any specific criteria to apply.

Comparatively it has good click through rates and also their script is super fast.

It is also important to note that their ads can be shown along with Google Adsense which means that you can get more money without sacrificing any Adsense Income.

What is Infolinks?

It’s a in-text advertising program which usually shows as a double-underlined link.
Here’s how it works (from their FAQ):

Using our dynamic proprietary algorithm, Infolinks intelligently scans your web pages and converts carefully selected keywords into cost-per-click (CPC) In-Text ads. These specially formatted double underline hyperlinks lead to highly relevant advertiser content.

And each time a visitor clicks on the ad, the publisher gets paid. The Infolinks advertising can also be used together with Google Adsense and Chitika on the same page.

Customization

The ads are totally customizable and you can test various combos to see what works for you.
You can change underlining (single or double underline), the color of the in-text links, the format of the ad that shows up when someone holds the cursor over the links, how many ads you want to show on each page and even where on page you want the ads to start appearing and where to stop appearing.

Infolinks by default shows 12 ads per page and if you use Adsense or Chitika too, then I suggest you lower the number of in-text links per page so that your pages don’t scare your visitors away with too many ads.

I also suggest, that when you sign up with Infolinks, let them run for a week or so and then email their support asking for better optimization. Their team will check the theme of your site and optimize the ads.

Earnings and Payments

Infolinks offers several convenient ways for publishers to receive payments. You can choose your preferred method:
PayPal, Bank Wire, ACH (Only for U.S. bank accounts) or Get your Infolinks Prepaid Mastercard® (Powered by Payoneer).
You can apply to get an Infolinks Prepaid Debit MasterCard® to load your earnings and use it anywhere MasterCard® is accepted. Choosing this payment form will link you to a new page to register for your card. Once a cardholder, you can manage your account by simply logging onto the Payoneer website.

Payment is sent 45 days after the earnings period. Here’s a detailed explanation from the Infolinks:

Every month! At the end of each monthly payment period, Infolinks calculates your earnings for that month and issues your payment within 45 days of the end of the payment period, as a standard industry practice.

The only exception should occur if your monthly earnings are less than the Infolinks payment threshold. The minimum threshold is $50. But don’t worry – if your earnings are less than that threshold at the end of the month, these funds will be carried over to the next month.
If this Infolinks review hasn’t answered all your questions, read their FAQ or comments here to get your queries answered.

How to Re-Activate Google Adsense account banned?

I was reading a very interesting post at digitalpoint forum where a gentlemen involved in invalid click activity and his adsense account was banned like many others. I could understand the way he felt because almost every adsense newbie is inclined towards self clicking or invalid clicking initially, due to lack of awareness.

Do keep in mind that Google is smart enough to track down the illegal activities of your adsense account and sooner of later such accounts get banned. Google adsense uses multiple algorithms to detect click fraud and consequently ban an account.

Case 1: When you are guilty

If you really did the click fraud and your adsense account got banned, then there is absolutely no hope that you will get your Google adsense account back. So, all you need to do is to apply for a new one with changed address, IP, and payee name and restart your adsense career. You can use your relative’s name/address which you can change it later.

Case 2: When you are not guilty

When you are confident that you haven’t done anything wrong against Terms and Conditions of Google Adsense, then you have a fair chance of getting back your Google Adsense account by following these steps without being panic.

Step 1- Gather all the facts

If you can collect all the information which can help you defend your case with google. You need to know if a friend, family member, or employee (i.e. someone under your control) clicked your ads. Did you ask someone to click? Did you click by accident? Gather the facts, even if they reveal actual invalid clicks.

Step 2- Fill out the Appeal Form

There is a simple form to fill out to appeal this decision. Be honest, truthful, and tell Google what happened. If you have no knowledge of invalid clicks, say that. If someone accidentally clicked, explain that. If a visitor maliciously clicked repeatedly, tell Google the story. You’ve got nothing to lose at this point.

Step 3-Be Patient

When you fill out this form it says it’s going to take 48 hours to process your appeal. But it may take longer than expected, so keep yourself cool and be mentally prepared for it.

Step 4- If you are successful, Celebrate it

If you put up your case well with google, then there is a good chance that you might succeed in reinstating your Google Adsense Account. So, celebrate your success! It will take Google up to 48 hours to start displaying ads again, so be patient. You might lose a week of earnings, but that’s nothing in the long run.

Step 5- Re-Appeal and Re-Re-Appeal

If you don’t get any response from Google Adsense within a week which means your account is still banned, then appeal again. Be polite, professional, and honest. Dig back through your information and see if you missed something that might be important.

Give atleast three tries before you finally give up your adsense account!!
